Abstract  Objective  It is to evaluate the clinical curative effect and safety of salvianolate injection for the treatment of steady angina pectoris in coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods  A randomized single-blind clinical trials with positive control and 2 parallel tests was carried out in 45 cases. The patients were divided into 2 groups: the control group received salviane injection 30 mL (n=15), the treatment group received salvianolate injection in a dosage of 200 mg once every day. After 10-day treatment, the clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated. Results  The total angina pectoris efficacy rates were 90.0% in treatment group, 53.3% in control group (P<0.01); the reductive or stopping using nitroglycerol rates were 73.3% in treatment group , 53.3% in control group (P<0.05); the total ECG efficacy rates were 43.3%in treatment group, 6.7% in control group (P<0.05); adverse reaction rates were 6.7% in treatment group, 0.0% in control group (P=0.55). Conclusion  Injective salvianolate is effective and safe for the treatment of CHD steady angina pectoris.
